Costa Blanca

Each time we visit the Costa Blanca, we make a point of visiting Altea, just north of Benidorm and south of Calpe. A visit to "the white village" provides a great viewpoint. Here are some photos of the church and "the white village" at Altea.

Isle of Coll

Each year I go backpacking from Glasgow to Oban by bus then on the Calmac MV Clansman to the Inner Hebridean island of Coll. This is an opportunity to recharge the batteries. I usually hire a bike from Angus at the Post Office and camp at Garden House at Uig where Ken and Pat Graham run the campsite. Uig is 5 miles from Arinagour, the main and only village on Coll. If you don't have transport down, don't worry someone will offer you lift, that's how friendly the folks are. The beaches are special and worth a visit to them all. Here are are few photos of this years visit.

A washed up mooring at Feall Bay.

Storm clouds gathering at Feall Bay, this shot was taken within 10 minutes of the previous one. Thankfully it didn't rain.

Angus (the bike hirer) always tells you not to take his bikes onto the sands, but hey it's great fun! Sorry Angus.

Next to Port na Luing I came across this small bay where I sat for nearly an hour watching the seals playing around.
